Dit soort redirect wordt vaak gebruikt bij het wijzigen van domein of pagina met de vermelding "Onze website is verhuist naar www.nieuwesite.be, u wordt automatisch doorverwezen. Indien de nieuwe pagina niet automatisch wordt weergegeven, klik dan hier". De meeste zoekmachines indexeren deze pagina gewoon met de tekst "onze website is ..". Een aantal zoekmachines (de belangrijkste) is intelligent genoeg om de redirect te herkennen. Zij zien dan hoe lang de time-out is. Indien de time-out zeer kort is en korter dan de gemiddelde tijd om een pagina te laden, wordt de nieuwe pagina bekeken. Indien de tijd te lang is wordt de pagina zelf gewoon geindexeerd.

Microsoft also has its own version, called Bing Visual Search that allow users to easily search for a particular element within an image. After doing an image search, you then click on one of the results and a “search” icon appears, letting you select a particular area of interest in the picture. This visual search tool will not only find matching images, but also display product pages for that item.

The marketing automation coordinator helps choose and manage the software that allows the whole marketing team to understand their customers' behavior and measure the growth of their business. Because many of the marketing operations described above might be executed separately from one another, it's important for there to be someone who can group these digital activities into individual campaigns and track each campaign's performance.


To understand the importance of digital marketing to the future of marketing in any business, it’s helpful to think about what audience interactions we need to understand and manage. Digital marketing today is about many more types of audience interaction than website or email... It involves managing and harnessing these ‘5Ds of Digital’ that I have defined in the introduction to the latest update to my Digital Marketing: Strategy, Planning and Implementation book. The 5Ds define the opportunities for consumers to interact with brands and for businesses to reach and learn from their audiences in different ways:

The Nielsen Global Connected Commerce Survey conducted interviews in 26 countries to observe how consumers are using the Internet to make shopping decisions in stores and online. Online shoppers are increasingly looking to purchase internationally, with over 50% in the study who purchased online in the last six months stating they bought from an overseas retailer.[23]
Een eerste belangrijke parameter is de keyword density, de keyword dichtheid dus. Die geeft weer hoe vaak een keyword in de tekst terugkomt, in verhouding met de lengte van de tekst. Een kleine tekst moet dus minder keer het keyword bevatten dan een lange tekst om dezelfde keyword density te behalen. Bij de berekening van de densiteit worden "stopwoorden" (=veel voorkomende woorden) als 'de' en 'het' er eerst uitgefilterd. Er wordt wel mee rekening gehouden wanneer zo'n woordjes met andere woorden voorkomen. Een moeilijk geval is bijvoorbeeld "De Hongerkiller". 

So what is content marketing, then? Well, it's pretty simple. Content marketing is the use of that content—any of it—to help meet a marketing goal for your organization. That could be acquisition of potential customers, retention of existing ones, making more people aware of your brand or your products, or really anything else. We'll go into many of the most popular and effective ways of doing all of these things throughout the rest of this guide.
De zoekmachines kijken naar de titel van de pagina en als die titel het keyword bevat zijn ze er terecht van overtuigd dat het keyword een zeer belangrijke rol speelt in het document. Het keyword moet dus ook voorkomen in het document. Wanneer dat in orde is, zullen de zoekmachines het document/de pagina hoog plaatsen wanneer iemand zoekt naar dat bepaald keyword.
Deze tag geeft de taal weer die gebruikt wordt op de pagina. Dit is wel belangrijk. Op de meeste zoekmachines kan je de resultaten filteren op een bepaalde taal. Wanneer de website zelf aangeeft welke taal er gebruikt wordt, kan ze veel gemakkelijker opgenomen worden in die resultaten. Ook wanneer iemand zoekt op google.be zullen bijvoorbeeld nederlandse .org websites beter scoren dan engelse.

A disadvantage of digital advertising is the large amount of competing goods and services that are also using the same digital marketing strategies. For example, when someone searches for a specific product from a specific company online, if a similar company uses targeted advertising online then they can appear on the customer's home page, allowing the customer to look at alternative options for a cheaper price or better quality of the same product or a quicker way of finding what they want online.
An omni-channel approach not only benefits consumers but also benefits business bottom line: Research suggests that customers spend more than double when purchasing through an omni-channel retailer as opposed to a single-channel retailer, and are often more loyal. This could be due to the ease of purchase and the wider availability of products.[24]
